Frequently asked questions

What Coursera content can this scraper cover?

It searches the entire public Coursera catalog: individual courses, specializations, professional certificates, guided projects and degrees. You can restrict results to a single product type, difficulty level or language.

How many courses can I get in one run?

There is no fixed ceiling. Set Max Courses to the number you want and the scraper paginates through the catalog until it reaches that count or runs out of matches. Each keyword you add runs its own search.

Can I scrape a specific course instead of searching?

Yes. Paste one or more course, specialization or search URLs into Coursera URLs. Product URLs return that single product; a search URL runs the keyword behind it.

Where do the enrollment numbers and instructor names come from?

Enrollment count, instructor names, the full description and recommended workload are collected when Fetch Course Details is enabled. The listing fields like rating, skills and pricing are always included.

What happens if a course has no rating or is missing some fields?

Fields that a given product does not expose (for example workload on a specialization, or a rating on a brand new course) come back empty rather than guessed. Every record still carries the core identification and catalog fields.
